TurboTax tells me I can not efile since I live in Florida? What can I do to file my federal return as an efile.

See the following reason that could stop you from e-filing.

Returns can't be e-filed if they:

Many nonresident and part-year state returns cannot be e-filed either, so we'll let you know if it must be paper-filed.

In addition, certain returns keep getting rejected because somebody else already claimed a dependent on the return or because of incorrect information in the IRS database. In these cases, there's nothing you can do to fix your return and e-file it. You'll need to file a paper return instead.

No----there must be some other reason you cannot e-file.   Did you enter taxable income?  What income did you enter?  If you only entered Social Security that is why you cannot e-file.  Florida has nothing to do with it, since FL has no state income tax.
