You may need to clear your browser's cache and delete the cookies stored on your computer. A full or corrupted cache can keep TurboTax from functioning properly.

I cleared my history and cache and when logging into business the message still comes up that 8960 is still not ready. I also updated business
Since you cleared your cookies and cache, you may also want to change browsers, for example, if you are using Chrome, try switching to Firefox.

Why should one have to do that? Other forms have been updated.
I cleared my cache and cookies, but it didn't help. Then, a TurboTax Customer Service Rep told me this morning that TurboTax doesn't actually have Forms 8949 and 8960 ready for download/update yet, despite the e-mail message saying they are ready. She said, "wait a few days." Hope she is right. I will give it a couple of days.

No, the link says 8960 but in business it still says ready soon but not now.
The availability link indicates that form 8960 is available, just as the e-mail from TruboTax indicated. But, if you actually use the tax software, it says the form is not yet available, even after it has been updated.
This issue has been escalated to our Research and Development and they are working on a solution.
Why send out email if not available in Business?
Please click on the link below to do a manual software update (even if the software says it's up to date). This has resolved the forms availability issue for some users.
The updates listed don't include TurboTax Business 2020. I am not having trouble with my TurboTax Deluxe.
Please get this problem corrected!! I, too, have tried all the "solutions" offered above to no positive effect. This is very disappointing to a user and shareholder. Your can do better because you are better...
My TurboTax for Business program continues to indicate it is up-to-date when I check for updates. Still, the program continues to say that Form 8949 and 8960 are not ready and will be ready soon. Sure would like to see an answer from TruboTax so that I can finalize the Estate return I am working on and distribute the Forms K-1 to the heirs, so they can file their own taxes.
I have the same problem that you have. Why was email sent out saying form was ready?

Using 2020 TT Business desktop Windows version to file an estate return. Updating shows up to date. Error check shows 1 error :
My problem now appears to be solved with the update that was available this morning.
Form 8960 is in today's update, if you're using TurboTax for Business (LLCs, trusts, estates, etc). I was finally able to complete and efile my respective 1041 today (2/13/2021). If you get TurboTax to look for updates, you should now be set. Good luck!
I had the same problem with form 14039. When going through the final review I received a message indicating that the form needed to be updated and I would be notified via email when it was ready. I couple of days later I received the email and was told to update my software and the form would upload automatically. But it didn't, even though I tried several times. I called in on the 800 number and was told the form would be available on 2/11/21. I waited until 2/13/21 to try again, and it still didn't work. I called in again, but no one was able to help me. Ultimately, I just deleted the form so that I could complete my taxes. I've used TurboTax for years, but this year was really disappointing.
