I found this answer from another user - run the Turbo Tax program as an Administrator. After I did this, I was able to click the CONTINUE button and pay my state e-file fee with no issues.

Worked great for me on Win8.1, thanks for the tip!

It worked for me too - run in administrative mode on both the TurboTax and your laptop.  Much better than the two calls to the help desk at Intuit.  I wasted at least 4 hours on the phone with two separate customer service agents.

Running as an Administrator didn't work Is there a contact phone number I can call for the secure online store to pay my filing fee?

@stoneda You can speak with someone on our phone support team.  The following TurboTax Help Article will assist you with connecting with the right person to get the help you need:  What is the TurboTax phone number?

Thank you. I did talk to a support specialist for a couple of hours. There final recommendation was to uninstall and reinstall the software. Instead I installed the software on my other, older HP laptop and successfully filed my State return. Now I just need to figure out why my brand new HP laptop is not allowing me to connect to the TurboTax secure online store. I'll work on that later this week. Meanwhile, this posting can close.

how do you run in Administrator mode in turbo tax?

I am running as Administrator in Windows and Turbo tax still does not give me access to file state electronically

You need to launch TurboTax as an administrator. Go to Start, scroll to TurbeTax, right click on it and select Administrator. That should allow you run as Administrator.

See my previous reply on how to run TurboTas as an Administrator. That has worked for many or try another PC/Laptop.

I am running turbotax on a Lenova windows 10 pro. I am having the same problem accessing the online store to pay for the filing of my Virginia return. When I right click the Turbotax program like you suggest, I don't see an option to start Turbotax as an administrator.
