TurboTax Premier - Constant logging in, no way to jump to rental property?

Why am I being asked to sign in everytime I open this program?  I've already signed in and activiated the program.  I have TurboTax Premier Desktop version.

Also, the SEARCH function no longer let's me type 'rental propery' so I get a JUMP TO command.  Instead the SEARCH function is a robot answer piece of garbage that is useless.

Do I have to switch to H&R Block?

Follow these steps  if you are getting multiple activation requests:

  • Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
  • Verify that you have administrator rights on your computer and TurboTax is running as administrator:
    • Right-click the TurboTax icon or setup icon and select Properties. In the Compatibility tab, select the Run this program as administrator box and select OK.

You can use the Magnifying Glass to search, but I have also used the 'Search' tool successfully, obtaining the 'Jump to' link.

I typed schedule e in the search box and got a Jump to Schedule E to enter Income from Rentals.

That answer fixed the multiple activation requests, but the search function is still useless and no longer brings up jump to rentals.  Therefore I cannot even find a way to get to the rental section.

I got the Jump to links using search both ways.  I typed in schedule e.   It took me directly to Rentals.

When you click on SEARCH in the upper right you either get the Turbo Tax Digital Assistant or the Turbo Tax Help box depending if you are signed in. I have gotten the Jump to links using both ways.

If you are signed in it will say Signed in as [name] under File. SEARCH will open the Digital Assistant like a chat box. Go to the bottom and type your search then click the send arrow on the right side.

If you are signed out, it will say Sign in under File. The SEACH box will ask you to sign in. If you get a window asking you to sign in, don't sign in. Click the X in the top right corner to get rid of the sign in window. Then you will have the Search box where you enter your search at the top of the box.

I contacted support and was told for some it works, and for others it does not.  And it's hit or miss. Might work one day and not the next.  I just navigated to it manually, all my search function does is bring up useless AI that takes me out to the internet to tell me about the definition of rentals, or whatever it is that I type.
