TurboTax not responding after done with income

TurboTax is not responding after clicking on "done with income".  The spinning circle goes continuously.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with the CD Deluxe version; updated with current automatic update, updated with manual download update, restarted computer, to no avail.  I have started two separate returns, very simple data, with import from last year.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue and reported it to TT support 2 weeks ago.  Have called in several time since and was told I would receive call back or it would be fixed in a couple days.  Still no fix.

 

My starting scenario is very similar to yours.  Imported from last year, a super basic form.  For me I was able to narrow down the issue to being caused by dividends >= capital loss carryover.  To the penny actually.  Add one penny to the dividend amount and it crashes.  Remove the penny (making it less than the capital loss) and it works.  I passed this along to support, but still nothing.

Also... only fails when taxpayer is under 18.

Talked to TT support again.

Their advice was to bypass this issue by not clicking "Done with Income" and instead navigate directly to "Deductions & Credits" section to continue return.

I had same problem recently. Would not let me continue to file, kept freezing up. I kept refreshing and would take me back to file page, but every time I pressed to file, said I had to update to Deluxe in order to proceed. After 5 times trying, finally agreed to pay their $110.00 ransom just to get my taxes filed. They hold yur information ransom until you agree to pay - next year I will go to regular local peson.

The past four times I have tried to continue with my taxes I got the circle spin of death demonstrating a completely unresponsive product. Today I thought I would try again and all of my information I spent hours entering is missing. It is as if the program wants me to completely start again from scratch. I doubt anyone has much more complicated and time consuming taxes than me between working four jobs and tons of investment and savings accounts...ugh! I do not want to start all over again. What is happening with Turbotax that has never happened before for me? It is definitely an ongoing issue this year.

Turbo Tax is not responding.  I just did the transfer from my

bank and it stopped responding.  I tried deleting and doing it again, but got the same message.

If you are using Turbo Tax Online, please clear the cookies and cache on your browser, and try once more. 

 

If you are using Turbo Tax Desktop, please update the software.

when I double click on federal review, turbo tax is "not responding"

Same here and TurboTax support said oh your computer is old so does not work mm mm really? I changed two different computers and it comes up with same problem! There's some glitch!

You are the expert and I called the TurboTax support and they told me your computer is old really.  Has nothing to do with old computer as I tried 3 computer like a new one and still come up not responding when I am at 4 of 9 in incomes! All comes up the same so why it's happening! Don't make me call the support as figure it out! Both ways download same problem as installing CD and even worst your website same thing!! What's happening??

Thanks!  This is the best solution.  I removed and reinstalled turbotax multiple times and still stuck in the same place.  Thanks to this post, I was able to move to the deduction section and finish the return.  Thanks!!!!!

 

The solution suggested was "instead of press continue" after the income section, just click on the deduction and bypass the "continue" button from completing the income.

April 6th and this issue and many others not fixed.

This 2020 version is the buggiest yet.  So many places like this TurboTax Premier on Windows it simply locks up.  If I can get through this year it will be my last with Intuit.  These issues are beyond frustrating.

I'm having the same issue. Turbotax hangs (Spinning Wheel) after 4 of 8 Personal Income Section.

Can Turbotax support investigate?

I called TurboxTax support. The guy said he could not help and I needed to call Amazon where I bought it.
