Turbo Tax keeps saying 'not responding' when it is time to review.

Has anyone had this issue and found a solution? I reinstalled and turned off virus and nothing helps.

If you are using TurboTax Online, please also clear cache and cookies. Should the problem continue, finish your return on another browser.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, please follow the instructions on the page Troubleshoot TurboTax Desktop for Windows issues.

NONE of this worked. Still 'not responding' and am unable to use to do my taxes. How do I get a refund?

@kuddlekubs

I see this also, (as have several others in another post)

...........when I get to the Final Review "Summary " page....just before the Filing step

(Windows 11 Premier desktop)

Nothing happens when I hit the "Continue"

The top title bar may even grey-out and show a "Not Responding"

BUT

If I just sit back and twiddle my thumbs, or go do something else, it unfreezes on its own.

I timed it at 1min, 10 seconds once....but yours may differ.

70 seconds may not seem like a long time, but in computer time (and our limited patience) it is "Forever"

I have no idea what it's doing in the background, but maybe it's just being painfully slow to do it.....whatever it is.

SteamTrain - you are the only one who has been able to help me! I waited as you suggested and it 'came back' and I was able to complete the taxes! THANK YOU!

Different browser, clear cache and cookies does not work.

Tried all of the suggestions. Does not work. Windows 10. Turbo Tax online. Called it in and Turbo Tax sent me back to the community group while they work on the problem.

Let me be clear. When I click review I get the error message "This wasn't expected, but we're working on fixing it." I can go no further and cannot efile the returns. Clearing caches and cookies, trying different browsers does not work.

I filed 5 other returns before this happened.

I had this problem, two different error codes, a blank white box & a whole slew of problems. It occurred to me that I have sooo many forms that are no longer used, ie items that are fully depreciated, and when I deleted a goodcportion of them everything worked as smoothly as it should. Even though I have a brand new computer that far exceeds the requirements, the program was overwhelmed with unnecessary data. Try deleting unused old data.
