Please clarify your question.

  • What do you mean by update Edward Jones.
  • Edward Jones would update any new information.
  • Are you talking about something that is happening in the program.  If so please be specific.

Please contact us again with any questions, and provide some additional details.

In the turbo tax program when I go to upload the Edward Jones 1099's turbo tax goes out to capture the information but it does not upload the information.  The program says success but the 1099's do not show on my tax returns.  This is the same problem as last year.

Although it looked like you could import the 1099-S, it is on the exception list.

Please see TurboTax help article Which 1099 forms are not available for import?

However, you can post it manually

  1. Sign into TurboTax
  2. Pick up where you left off.
  3. Select Tax Tools
  4. On the drop-down select Tools
  5. Select Tax Tools
  6. On the drop-down select Tools
  7. There will be 4 green boxes
  8. Select Topics Search
  9. Type the form 1099-S
  10. Continue through the questions and it will be posted to your return.
  11. Answer Yes to Did you sell or have your home foreclosed in 2023?
  12. Enter the address of the home you sold on the next screen, and Continue.
  13. On the next screen, answer Yes to Did you receive a Form 1099-S that reported this sale? and enter the info from your 1099-S.
  14. On the next screens, follow the on-screen instructions to continue entering the info from your 1099-S.

Please contact us again with any questions, and provide some additional details.

I am specifically looking for the 1099 Div forms.  Turbo tax takes me to the  "import from your broker "  forms and I put in my password and user name.  Turbo tax then goes out to try and download the  1099 div form and comes back and says success but the forms do not transfer to my tax returns.  I had this problem last year too.  I will not enter the info because it is 14 pages and that's why I buy the Turbo tax program.  This is very frustrating!!

In TurboTax Online Premium, I am able to download a variety of forms from Edward Jones including IRS form 1099-DIV.

Have you considered accessing TurboTax Online and Edward Jones through a different browser?

If you are not able to download the IRS form 1099-DIV, you are able to enter the form by hand.

I am using Turbo tax Premiere. I STILL cannot access the 1099 DIV/INT from Edward Jones.  I DID change browsers and it still does not transfer.  The 1099 DIV/INT is available from Edward Jones but it DOES NOT transfer to my tax return.  I bought the Turbo tax program so I didn't have to enter the info from the 1099 forms manually--it's 14 pages of stock sales/losses and gains.

This is a software issue per Turbo tax.   They are fixing it.

Edward Jones import is still not working.  Says forms have been imported, but nothing appears in TurboTax.

The entire reason I purchase TurboTax is to avoid manually transferring fifteen pages of transactions.

TurboTax updated when I opened it today. Tried the Edward Jones import again - absolutely nothing happened. No tab opened in my Brave browser.  No request to link EJ and my Intuit account, nothing at all.

Switched all my internet file associations to Chrome and the import finally worked.

If you require specific browsers/settings for your software to work, TELL us what the requirements are!

That has been an issue with the Brave browser. You have to turn off your anti-virus.

If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.
