i did a virus search. did a malware search (quarantined two files). disabled startup items, restarted. did a clean boot. uninstalled and then reinstalled the program.
All of that, and the error message persists. I'm at the end of my guesswork. Any other guesses? Thanks in advance.

Anyway - I tried all that, and then some, and it still yields that error. Could it be anything else?
