the email to confirm my identity is not going through

a code is supposed to be sent to confirm identity before filing, but the email is not received

If you're not receiving the email to confirm your identity in TurboTax, try these steps:

  1. Check your spam/junk folders: Sometimes the email might end up there.
  2. Verify your email address: Ensure it's correct in your TurboTax account settings. 
    1. Check the email address on the Next, let's verify your email screen. If your email address is correct, check your spam or junk folders.
    2. While you are in your Intuit Account Settings, go to "Sign In and Security" and see if the email address shown in your Intuit Account has ever been verified.   
    3. If it shows it is "not verified", you can verify it by clicking the link and following the instructions. 
  3. Request the code again: Sometimes re-requesting the code can help.
