Tex return rejected

Trying to e-file and the federal return keeps getting rejected stating last year AGI is incorrect. This number auto populates through turbo tax and it is accurate. This is also causing my NY state return to be rejected as they will not accept until the federal return accepts. Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

It is possible the IRS does not have your 2019 AGI in their database.

Try entering a 0 (zero) for the 2019 AGI and e-file the tax return again.

Entered 0 (zero) for AGI and still rejected for same reason. Any other thoughts on how to fix?

Were you using the exact amount shown on your 2019 Federal tax return Form 1040 on Line 8b?

If the IRS continues to reject your e-filed tax return your only other option is to print and mail the tax returns.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for how to print a tax return for mailing - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online/01/26258

Yes, line 8B of 1040 matches and actually auto populates through the software when it pulls in the info from prior year.

The problem with that is that NY State will only accept once the federal return is accepted electronically. NY state does not allow mail in if you use software (Turbo Tax).

Any other thoughts?

Thank you!

Since the federal tax return cannot be e-filed then the software you are using does not support e-filing.  When the software used does not support e-filing the New York state tax return can be mailed.
