System automatically logs my into Deluxe, trying to switch to Free

I'm trying to follow the steps laid out in other forum posts, where they suggest to clear and reset my current return to downgrade. When I do this it immediately logs me back into Deluxe version, with no option to switch to Free.

 

How am I supposed to switch to Free when there is no option to do this?

Please try the below steps first and then the clear and start over process: 

 

  • Log completely out of Turbo Tax. 
  • Then, clear your cache and cookies within your browser and completely close out of it.  I have included the Help Articles below if you need assistance with clearing cache or cookies. 
  • Re-open the browser and log back into Turbo Tax and see if this fixes the situation.  
    • You can also try a different browser as well, or "incognito mode".  

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please reach back out here in the thread and someone will follow up with the next steps. 

 

Clear Cache

Delete Cookies

If you would like to file for free, please clear and start over to move down in the program. 

 

Please follow the instructions here to clear and start over.

Like I said in my original post, I did that. I followed that exact post on how to clear & start over. It doesn't allow me to switch to free after that. That's my issue.
