So I noticed that last year I was charged for filing my taxes and you all stated that if I made under 34000 that it would be free why was I charged

I believe you are referring to the IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax.  It is exclusively available online and has its own dedicated website at taxfreedom.com.  It isn't accessible from the "regular" TurboTax.com website.  It is not the same as the TurboTax Free Edition.   Note that, for 2019, the eligibility requirement for the AGI  has increased to $36,000.
