Single vs Head of Household

What is the difference between these for you when you have a child? What advantages and disadvantages are there for head of household vs single and how do you know which is best to use?

HOH gives you a higher standard deduction, which means less of your income is taxable.

Am I Head of Household?

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.
