ON ONE OF MY W2 FORMS, IT HAS A BOX THAT LISTS MY SSAN, "MARITAL STATUS: SINGLE", AND "FEDERAL EXEMPTION ALLOWANCES: 00". I WAS MARRIED, WILL THAT AFFECT THE RETURN?

No.  What you claim at work on your W4 and shows on your W2 is just to tell your employer how much withholding to take out.  It doesn't go to the IRS.  It doesn't have to match your actual filing status.  I'm married but claim Single and 0 to have more taken out.
