Ohio State Tax Rejected - OH PIT 068 - 1099R Rejected?

I got an email from Turbo Tax Stating:

Your Ohio School District Tax return was rejected

...

OH-PIT-068 - On one or more of your 1099R forms, you claimed state income tax withholding but did not provide the state abbreviation, the Payer's Federal EIN, the Payer's state ID number and/or the distribution amount. Please correct and retransmit.

Here's the problem...when I log in I get no error. I called and the technician was unable to help me. Is this what I paid for? Your service said it checked my taxes and all was well. My first year with TurboTax, probably my last.

Look at all of your Form 1099-R entries.  The state information shown in boxes 14 through 16 of Form 1099-R need to all have a value in them if there are any state taxes withheld.

If your Form 1099-R does not show a state ID number, enter the Federal ID number.  If your Form 1099-R does not show a state distribution amount (box 16), enter the distribution amount shown in box 1.  Do not enter zero for the distribution amount if state taxes were withheld.

If no state taxes were withheld, make sure all boxes 14 through 16 are empty.  Do not enter a zero in the taxes withheld box.

My form has no box 16 and Turbo Tax's website has no Box 16 listed, what are you talking about?

This form does not appear on TurboTax's website. I am using the software to fill this out. The software does not let me enter anything into Box 16

And this is under the 1099-R? What is above this?

Ok, you have a CSA-1099R, give me a few minutes.

TurboTax Online does not have a way to enter the State Amount of Distribution, but you can in Forms Mode of the Desktop Version. Here is how you can transfer to desktop: How do I switch from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop?

You will enter the amount from box 1 for box 16.

I don't have the desktop version! I paid $153 for this service, you're telling me I have to pay more just to file this one form???

At the bottom of the 1099-R screen, check the box " I have info in boxes 17-19" to get a pop up for those boxes.

No, you do not need to pay more. Have you already paid for your TurboTax Online? If so, call TurboTax Customer service and they will get you switched over.  Here is a link:  Turbo Tax Customer Service

I just took my number from line 2a and put it into Line 16 (state distribution) as noted above, resubmitted my SD 100 Ohio School District forms.   Accepted right away.

I think this my 6th submission, trying to find differences this year from last, to no avail.  Looks like Ohio SD changed something, because it went right through last year.

I also don’t know why the Ohio State taxes didn’t flag the same thing.
