My TurboTax CPA said to be on hold on the phone call and to keep my screen shared with him

I feel not safe with my financial information shared with a TurboTax CPA in this manner via TurboTax. Is this common that TurboTax CPA does this to a customer?

Yes. The SmartLook option is available through Turbotax Live. When talking to an expert, you’ll have the option to get guidance right on your screen with SmartLook.

You can see the live expert (they can’t see you) as they guide you by drawing on your screen and providing the answers you need to file confidently.

(Available on a computer and in the TurboTax mobile app; not available when using a web browser on a mobile phone or device.)

you are already giving the CPA every financial detail about yourself, so if that makes you nervous, you picked the wrong service option.

In any case, that's what they do for a living, look at other peoples tax returns.
