after I downloaded the state the TurboTax program never asked me to put in any of the amounts from my W-2 form. It looks like it just auto fill all the information and now it's telling me that my refund is over $100,000.00
Your W-2 gets entered in Federal > Wages and Income, and then the program transfers it to State.
Check your data entry for any typos, especially commas, decimals and extra zeroes.
Did you find the error in your return? I am having the same issue but there are no errors of entry or commas in the wrong place.
I'm having this issue. State Refund: $145,703
No commas or decimals out of place. The individual number and summations are correct. It's just that final state value.
I'm in Ohio if that has anything to do with it.
I would print it out and check it over and see which lines look wrong. Before filing, You can preview the 1040 or print the whole return
I would also delete your W2 and re enter it. That might clear something out. Same with any 1099R forms. I bet it's in a state withholding box like W2 box 17 or 1099R box 12. Did you import any of your forms? Import is not always accurate.
Looks like it was a bug. My mobile app showed $1,475.60, but the browser-based web application showed $147,560.00. Not sure why but when I updated it on the web application it fixed the issue.
