My 2023 Taxes were filed before the extension deadline on Oct 15 but hasn't been accepted being stuck in pending. Its never taken this long and I am concerned.

Submitted
Step 2, incomplete (Pending)

Why is this happening and how can I get someone to take a look at it? Thank you.

Since your e-filed tax return is in a Pending state you know that it was e-filed.  The tax return is now waiting for the IRS to pull the tax return from the TurboTax servers.  It may take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours for this to occur.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for the Pending status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/pending-mean/L6PeeDJeH_US_en_US?uid=m2dog1vf

It's been well over 48 hours though.

@DoninGA
i dont know if this has anything to do with it, but when I submitted my returns, my computer data/time was set to a foreign country's time zone and shows as the 16th.
but in my actual timezone and the state of residence on my return, it was before the 16th, and within the deadline. do you think this has something to do with it?

It's the 18th now but this (the message sent to me today, and says as of Oct 16". This what it says on my ai assisted chat window notification:

The date you have on your computer does not affect the date/time the e-filed tax return was sent.  The date/time is determined by TurboTax using their systems.

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.  So check your email account for these messages.

If your tax return has a tax refund there are no penalties for filing after the due date.

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
