Take a look at the following TurboTax help article to learn more about the income thresholds for filing a tax return for 2023.  If your income is below the amounts listed for your filing status, then that is what you can make before you are required to file a return.  However, be aware that if you have self-employed income, then the threshold is $400 after expenses, regardless of your filing status.  The amounts will be similar for 2024.
