It is not giving me the options to pick either state of federal.
It asks if I want to e-file, when I go to change options, it only gives me the option to change Federal. When I go to the next page, is allows me to print both federal and state. I already file state. I just need to ensure that will not get filed again.
Did you file the State by mail? Or did you e-file the State?
If it's not allowing you to change the State - that would be an indication that TurboTax is recognizing that you have already filed. What happens if you go ahead and Continue in the File section?
(And don't worry - until you actually indicate to e-file now, you can still go back).
I filed on the state web site. It allows me to continue; however, it is not telling me which returns it is e-filing.
Yes, you can just file the Federal without the State.
Since we can't see what is happening on your return,
it would be helpful for you to initiate a call with us. TurboTax will
call you back and an agent can share your
TurboTax screen with you. Since you are using the Free edition of TurboTax, you may be required to pay a fee.
