Is there a way to sync my most recent tax return to the online version so they are all together in one place? I used the software instead of doing it online this year.

I wanted to sync my most recent tax return online in the My Turbotax section of the website so everything was together in one place. Is that possible since I bought the software instead this year?

My Docs lets you store, access and protect your important tax documents in one place so you can easily access them when it comes time to do your taxes – or any time you want.

You can store up to 100 MB of important documents, such as scanned receipts, payment confirmations, tax forms – whatever you would otherwise keep in a shoebox or filing cabinet.

Since you purchased the Desktop software, the only way to get the benefits of My Docs would be to Contact Us or pay for the PLUS fee online. (See: How do I get access to My Docs?)

You may prefer to use a free online cloud storage option.

If you are wanting to File your 2016 Tax return using TurboTax CD/download software you would need to Save your .tax files to your device. To do this Log in to your TruboTax Online account Go to My Turbotax My Tax Timeline Load My Tax Timeline Open each year that is in your Timeline (one at a time) In the Some things you can do section Select Download .tax file. Do this for each year in your Timeline. You might as well download your .PDF files while you are there just so you will have them. Install your 2016 Software (If you have not already) Begin your Return I hope this helps
