Is there a way to get our w-2 info online? I was able to do it for our 2018 taxes. However I cannot open the .tax file on PC so was hoping I could do it online.

Not sure what your question is.  Did you file 2018?  You need the Desktop program installed for the same year to open a .tax file, like .tax2018, .tax2017, etc.
