Is it possible to get money back from the IRS for a duplicate tax payment? TurboTax withdrew funds after indicating I needed to mail a check payment.

I had to review an item I entered after I indicated to have TurboTax withdraw the funds. When I went back to complete and submit my federal return online, the payment information disappeared and after filing the forms my copies to print/keep indicated that I must mail a check. I mailed the check (IRS cashed) and now it looks like TurboTax withdrew the funds as well causing a duplicate payment and me out money that I desperately need right now.

Unfortunately TurboTax's customer support is of no help in correcting an issue that occurred because of an error in their software.  Instead they direct you to call the IRS to request a refund back from them for the duplicate payment. TurboTax needs to look into this software glitch to ensure that it does not happen to anyone else. No one should have to go through what I am going through to get my money back. Sorry, but TurboTax really let me down this year.
