Installation of 2024 Issue

I have always been able to download the TT online having a code when I purchased the software at a big box store. For the 2024 tax year I decided to try to download the software directly from Intuit/TT and am getting a message that says: "Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this [TT 2024] one.". I've tried everything I know to do, including calling TT helpline....though they were no help. I tried finding programs that are installing on my computer and don't see any. I've tried the turn the computer off and on. Etc. Help!
