Importing Quickbooks Premier Edition 2021 into Turbotax Business 2023

When I try to import Quickbooks into Turbotax Business, I keep getting the message that "No Quickbooks Desktop file had been found".  The quickbooks file with the .qbw is on my desktop so I don't understand why Turbotax cannot find it.  In prior years, Turbotax Business allowed you to browse your files to find the file to import, but I don't see this option this year.

Help!

HI,

Several threads reporting this Bug. between Any QB 2021 Version and TT 2023 version.

Updated TT to Version 023. 000. 0207 Issue is still not fixed.

QB Premier v31.0.4016.0

As far as i know a bug still needs to be logged on this issue and NO QB 2021 Users have made the import function work!

Don't know if this applies to your situation. But for QB 2018 (Desktop Version) you have to EDIT -> PREFERENCES -> INTEGRATED APPLICATIONS and allow other programs to access the QB file. Note that the online version of one program, can not connect to the desktop version of the other program.

Don't know about the Business program but my personal Windows Home & Business under File-Import it says QuickBooks (2022-2024). I think it was updated. But the FAQs still say 2019-2024. The FAQs haven't been updated since November.

Over in the QuickBooks support site, I found this recent one for Desktop QB. It's a long thread but covers the problem.

Thanks. I went into Edit/Preferences on Quickbooks and it was already checked to allow other application access to QB.

UPDATE:

I called TT support again today... no Solution yet.

The support Rep said it is a known issue with no current solution.  when i asked if there was a Bug logged, she said she didn't know... but that support Managers were aware of the issue.

As i was on the call i checked for updates, tt no updates still on version 023. 000. 0207

however, QB Premier 2021 had a critical update come through... it didn't bump the version, so we are still at 31.0.4016.0... is there a log someplace of what was updated?

end result is it didn't solve the issue... TT still fails to Import from QB2021
