Hi,
how do I file 1099s from quick employer forms? I'm stuck in an endless loop. Turbotax deluxe sent me to https://quickemployerforms.intuit.com/welcomeNewCustomer.htm which says "you must be using 2020 TurboTax Business or 2020 TurboTax Home & Business software products"
So i I upgraded from Turbotax deluxe to home & business, which sends me back to https://quickemployerforms.intuit.com/welcomeNewCustomer.htm
when i click "go to turbotax" button it takes me to a page to buy Turbotax business for $160.
where and how can i file 1099s for my contractors?

Welcome to TurboTax Quick Employer Forms
I have purchased TurboTax Home & Business.
When I go to "Welcome to TurboTax Quick Employer forms" link, I see this.
The only option appears to be the "Go to turbotax" button.
When I hit that, I am taken to https://turbotax.intuit.com/small-business-taxes/
which is just information on purchasing another product.
What am I missing?

Are you using Home & Business on a Mac or Windows? Are you accessing the QEF Quick Employer Forms from inside the program?
You can do them 2 different ways from the Windows Desktop Home & Business program. Either Online using Quick Employer Forms (QEF) -or- directly on your computer with the built in W2/1099 Reporter.
In the Window's Home & Business Desktop program to Prepare W2s or 1099s, click the big blue button to Start a New Return or go up to File-New Tax Return. Then on the next screen it asks What would you like to do?
If you get a screen with 2 choices, Check the second circle that says Prepare W-2s and 1099s for my employees or contractors. Then that will expand and give you a choice to prepare them online or on your computer.
If you get a screen that says Continue your Tax Return and a box listing your returns then go up to FILE - New Tax Return again and you should get a box to pick the type of return you need to prepare. Pick US Forms W-2/1099 Reporter

Oh my gosh. I'm trying to file my 1099's. And like this other person, just get an endless loop. There used to be a File button, but that is no longer there. After the print page, you are taken to a page to buy another Turbo tax product and then to a page to rate Turbotax and then to a page to exit Turbotax. This needs to be fixed 1099's are due on Feb. 1.
I think it's tacky to keep asking while you're trying to complete your tax return, if you want to purchase other products.
Please simply let us know where we need to go to file these forms. Thank you!
