Yes, you absolutely MUST deduct all lawful deductions that are paid to derive the income for the business, and an UBER driver runs a business. This is a DIRECT COST OF SALES, and cannot be omitted. Failure to include this deduction could lead to an increased EIC for the Taxpayer and in that case, failure to deduct would constitute fraud against the US Government.
