I want to transfer the data in my 2023 tax return to turbo tax 2024 for business. How do I do that?

I did my company's 2023 return on Turbo tax. How do I get all of the investor info and company data transferred over to the 2024 return?

Hi, I have used TurboTax for my taxes the last several years and when I download the desktop version to my computer (the same computer I have used for previous years) and open it, it automatically asks me if I want to import my information from the previous year.  I am not sure how it will work if you use the online version rather than the desktop one, but I would think it would be a similar process??

Hope this helps!

Make sure you are logged in using the same credentials you used when preparing your 2023 tax return.  Please see this link to verify any accounts you may have under your information.

Once you confirm that you are using the same account, follow these instructions to import your data from 2023 if it is not already carried forward. If you used TurboTax Online last year and want to switch to TurboTax Desktop this year, please follow these instructions for guidance.

I already imported info from 2023 to 2024 and all the personal info was imported, but none of the business income / expenses totals for 2023 was imported.

I tried doing the import again, but the same issue.

I double checked my 2023 return and it shows both the 2022 and 2023 monetary info and totals.

So don't understand why, in the 2024 version, I am not seeing any of the 2023 dollar entries or totals.

Don't know if this is even a big issue, but I am leery to file without knowing.

The dollar totals are just used for a comparison basis.  I'm not sure why they wouldn't be popping up for you but they are not necessary to do the return.
