I see that 403b's are coming of my paycheck. My W-2 every year uploaded automatically, does it count that as tax-deferred? In other words, do I get the tax break or file

Does Turbo Tax count the 403b on my W-2?  In other words, do I need to do the retirement account enter on my taxes or is it already showing as tax deferred?

Just make sure the W2 is entered exactly as shown.  You only enter the 403b from the W2, nowhere else.  It has already been deducted from the wages in box 1 and you can't deduct it again.

If you import the W2 double check it close!  Sometimes it doesn't import or the picture upload right.

Whoa.  Okay, I'll make sure.  My school district actually partners with Turbo Tax and I get a message that says "Good news, we've uploaded your W-2 already" so its already in there.  Should I double check even then?

Yes.  Make sure it got imported and matches the real W2.  Sometimes it comes in wrong.  Turbo Tax only makes it available for you to import but you still have to import it.
