I paid to efile my federal taxes. And now I am ready to submit my state. Why do I have to pay MORE for the state than federal???

There is no charge for filing your federal form 1040.  If you have a charge it may be when you filed your Federal you checked the box to file the State at the same time.  That would be the charge you are seeing.  Double check to make sure you have NOT filed your state before resending your State taxes.

We were over income and had to pay TurboTax. Also, in MN the Federal HAS to be filed prior to State, so no, I did not accidentally file it first.
