People who have created more than one TurboTax account, but don't realize it, will receive a message to confirm state and local taxes from previous years tax return. You will need to sign in to the account you created for the current year's tax return.
Please click this TurboTax Help link to learn if you have more than one TurboTax account.
I do not have more than one account. This is my first year using turbo tax. It wanted me to insert tax info from 2018 and then the uploading area went away. I do not know what to do.
You said you already filed? Was it Accepted?
Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?
You can check your efile status here
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
You need to enter your 2018 AGI to efile 2019. Did you do that?
Your problemis not quite clear.
You cannot use the online program to file a 2018 return. Online is ONLY for a 2019 return. Do not try to use it for 2018 income data.
If you entered your 2019 income and all of your other information and you are ready to try to e-file it, it is asking for your 2018 AGI--which would be found on your 2018 tax return if you filed a 2018 return. If you did not file a 2018 return then use zero. If zero will not work then print, sign and mail 2019 instead of e-filing.
Yes all of it was completed and when I login it says "Way to go, You filed your 2019 taxes" and it has the print button. I keep getting emails I need to put in my 2018 records and I can not get my check from the government direct deposited since I lost my job, with out those records being inputed.
So you have not e-filed 2019. You can print, sign and mail it in.
