If you had self employment income reported on a 1099-MISC or no form and had associated expenses, you need to use the Self Employed version. The Self Employed version prepares a personal tax return with the income entered on a Schedule C which flows to the form 1040 along with any other type of income entered on your tax return.

If you had no expenses associated with your self employment income, you can use the Deluxe version to enter it.
