I just recieved a deposit to my account from the franchise tax board for almost the exact amount of my state tax return, but my taxes were accepted and done with on 2/12/20, so what would this depos

It depends.

 

Even though your return was filed and accepted on 2/12/20, it typically takes the taxing authorities some time to issue you the refund.

 

Did you receive your refund before?  If so, then you may need to contact the Franchise Tax Board to determine what the refund is for.

 

If you never received your refund from your state income tax return, this may be your state tax refund.

If you already got your refund or paid a tax due you might have left off an estimated payment you made or forgot to apply last years refund you had applied to this year.  Check over your state return for missing payments or credits.  Or only the state can tell you.  If you had a tax due maybe you paid it twice?  Check your bank and credit card accounts.
