Past 2 years all I claimed on 1099 was mileage. I was told by tax preparer this covered everything for Uber/Lyft transportation...is this all I would need to complete the 1099?

Yes - mileage is the main deduction but you would also be able to include any parking costs or car washes in addition to the mileage

Yes - If you have both a W-2 from one job and a 1099-MISC from a part-time job, this 1099-MISC income will be considered self-employment income (and will be reported separately from your W-2 income on your tax return).

Also note that if you have any business expenses related to your 1099-MISC, you will be able to claim these against your 1099-MISC to reduce your taxable income related to your part-time employment.

Please refer to this IRS link for more information about Business Expenses

To enter 1099-MISC information in TurboTax, log into your tax return (for TurboTax Online sign-in, click Here and click on "Take me to my return") type "1099misc" in the search bar then select "jump to 1099misc". TurboTax will guide you in entering this information.
