If you downloaded and installed the 2022 TurboTax software on a personal computer all you need to do is start the program (Double-click the TurboTax 2022 icon). If there are updates available then accept the updates.
The program will ask you to start the 2022 tax return. All you need to do is follow the screens presented to you by the software.

The tag below your question says that you are using TurboTax Online. You don't download or extract anything to use TurboTax Online. You just sign in from your web browser.
If you downloaded the CD/Download TurboTax software, I don't understand what you did. If you downloaded the software from TurboTax.com, extracting is not normally a separate step. Are you using Windows or a Mac? To install the downloaded software in Windows you just double click the downloaded .exe file to run it, and it installs the software. See the following FAQ for instructions to install on a Mac.
How do I install the TurboTax software for Mac?
If you downloaded the software from somewhere other than TurboTax.com, you might have to check the seller's web site for installation instructions.
If you have downloaded the 2022 software and entered your license code, and updated the program, you are ready to prepare your tax return. Do not make the mistake of "logging in" to online TurboTax. You will open the program from your own hard drive, just like you open other programs that are on your own computer.
We see people get confused and they keep logging in to online software which will require them to pay at the end. You need to use the desktop software. One way to tell if you are using the right software---your tool bar. Online software has the toolbar in a black vertical column on the left side of the screen. Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.
