i had no income last year and no w-2, do i need to file?

If you did not receive taxable income of any kind in 2024 then there is no reason or need to file a 2024 tax return.

If you had no income and you did not have Marketplace insurance (received a 1095-A), you probably do not have a filing requirement.   Use the chart in this link to verify.
