I filed my taxes using TurboTax, but I was charged for using it even though it should have been free before March 31st. Should that have happened or was it an error?

On 3/1/2023, customers began to see a change to the TurboTax prices for both TurboTax online products and TurboTax desktop products.

 

If you feel that you were charged incorrectly, you can always fill out a TurboTax Request Refund form or reach out to TurboTax customer support directly.

Turbo tax had charged me way to much and reviewed my stuff more then twice I don’t really recommend this app to do taxes if ya gonna be charged to use it and not get half bck it’s not worth it if I’m reading my stuff right and wasn’t hardly no help thru it and wouldn’t let me change my editon bck to standers but still charged me for two other ones it’s bs.

I was charged 45 dollars when I files using paper filing.

I bought the deluxe TurboTax which included state filing.

Please refund my 45 dollars.

Whether you e-file or mail in your return, the preparation fee applies @sbuser.

The TurboTax Free online edition is for very simple tax returns that do not require any other form or schedule other than the Form 1040.  If your tax data requires entry on any other form or schedule then you must upgrade to the Deluxe edition or higher.

 

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2022 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

I have been charged and it said free all the way through ? Where did this charge come from and how can I get it taken away?
