I filed my taxes on turbo tax but did not efile. Do I still have to send in the paper file to the IRS or not?

Well yes.  If you did not efile or file somewhere else then you have to print and mail it yourself.  Why couldn't you efile?

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

You can try to switch to efile. Click on Add a State to let you back into your return

You have two choices to file a return--you can efile, or you can print, sign, date, and mail the paper return.   TurboTax does not mail it for you.  If chosen, then you have to do it.    If mailed, the Federal return is mailed to the IRS address appropriate for your location.   A state return is mailed to your state tax agency.

When you log into your account, what is shown at the Tax Home for the status of your Federal return (and state return, if applicable)?

Why did you not efile?  Efiling is normally best.   Filing with a paper return in the mail can take weeks or sometimes even months to process.  The pandemic has markedly impacted processing of paper returns.

If you want to efile instead of filing by mail, as long as you haven't actually printed and mailed it off, we can tell you how to open the return back up and efile.
