I don’t understand why my return was rejected. I looked at the online transcript and the AGI rejected is correct.

I’m trying to get my $600 stimulus rebate which is the only reason I needed to file a return. My SS income is below the threshold requiring a return to be filed,

I will suggest you to print out your tax forms and paper file to the IRS.

Correct AGI got rejected

The AGI is calculated as follows:

  • It is equal to the total income you report that’s subject to income tax—such as earnings from your job, self-employment, dividends and interest from a bank account—minus specific deductions, or “adjustments” that you’re eligible to take.
  • Your AGI is calculated before you take the standard or itemized deductions —which you report in later sections of the return.

My return was rejected because duplicate entry of 1099R info. I thought I corrected and refiled . Still being rejected. Why? I am getting frustated. I have filed corrected  and submitted 2 times and still getting rejected.

I need to get a call from somebody before it is too late.

Add $1 to one of the 1099-R's so they don't show as duplicate.  It should then go through.
