With this type of issue, it is best to click here and speak with a member of support. They will be able to best assist you.

Customer support is no support at all with this. I have spoken to two different representatives in regard to this notice: 'Oops. We’re having a little trouble processing your billing information. Please select "contact us" from the help panel to speak with an expert to assist you'. They have no fix nor have the tools required to fix this issue.  I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years now and this will be my last. Never needed help from Customer Service before. Now I know why. Very disappointed. only option is paying the extra $40 to have the fee drawn out of my return.

For fee payments, we can only accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards with a U.S. billing address. Another option is to pay your fees with your federal refund, also known as Pay With My Refund (charges may apply). The billing address for your credit card must be the same as the mailing address on your tax return.

I have been getting this error for sometime now too. Customer support has NO idea how to fix this. From what I can tell through my google search of this problem, it has been happening to other people for a couple years. Everyone is tired of clearing their cookies, cache, using different browsers, and calling customer support. IT DOESN'T WORK!! Since we have no other option but to pay $40 extra to file, can this charge be refunded?

I just had this issue and solved it by putting 123 Main St in the address field for your credit card. It won’t be an issue with your card, due to payment processors look to city, state, and zip for verification.

This problem is very annoying. And it approves me for filing for a refund, but I get an error message about a server.

The tax help itself I received was great (I think anyway), but the error messages are terrible.

I'm not going to use TurboTax going forward; if my issue is not resolved by Monday morning I'm going to

give up and have H&R block do it.

I have had this issue too.....spent 2 hours with support, i received several codes for discounting for the TROUBLE that this issue caused.  however those didn't take a dime off.

last year the issue was fixed by using the address from my old residence two years ago...not sure why but this worked- in the  billing CC section.

This year however before I spent hours screenshotting or writing down all the turbotax details I search the NET and found a solution.  in the street address field I had to put 123 Main St.     this worked.   NOW i have to send myself an email or leave a note in my tax file for this solution.. I would have had my taxes done in FEB if I had this solution then.

Yea, I tried that twice. They didn't know what to do, either. Put me on hold for over an hour. Still no joy.

SOLVED for me:  Call [phone number removed] and ask for the FINANCE DEPT.  There may be a freeze/hold placed on your account, like there was on mine when TurboTax tried to use my old credit card number (on file) to order my new tax software.  NO NOTICE of this problem was sent to me.  I spent 8-10 hours trying to figure this out.  (It would have been very simple for TurboTax to send me an email letting me know there was a problem with processing my credit card back in November!)

I had the same issue and spoke to 3 people with no resolution. I triple check my bank and TT accounts to confirm my billing address. I finally was able to talk to a TT rep and had me try this:

When entering your card info unclick "save billing address" enter your name, everything that is your information EXCEPT the Address for that Enter "123 Main St" all other info is your information. It worked for me!!

I've wasted 2 hours of my life on call with customer service and still I can't complete the payment process.

I too believe this an attempt to drive folks to go for the extra $44 premium service cost to have fees deducted from your Fed return. What a hopeless experience! Last year, I got all the way through the tax prep process with TurdTax and a glitch stopped me from filing at all. Customer service did not return my call in a reasonable amount of time so I filed on H&R Block. Paid 2x to file. When reported to TurdTax, I received a 20% discount for my fees this year and now this ...

This is how screwed TurdTax is ... after 2+ hours (2 separate days of my life) of trouble shooting on call with a customer service rep, entering "123 Main St" into the address manually actually worked. Very worrisome when one considers the complex computations required in the tax prep process from a systems perspective yet a small coding glitch like this in the payments processing area can be overlooked? How robust is this platform?

I was able to successfully submit my husband’s returns using the 123 Main St option…. But when I try to submit mine separately under a different account, the address didn’t work.

anyone else have 2 accounts you have to submit through and have the same issue?

Ignore my last post - tried an old address and it worked.  Goodness gracious - what a joke.

Try 123 Main St in your billing address .  Not sure why this works  or why its happening  and may be due to some sort of verifier,,  not sure. ... just know its what they got me to do for mine.

wanted to share in case someone needed it.

The problem is TurboTaxes Billing Address Verifier. There here is the weird trick to get passed it. In the address field put in "gibberish" just let your fingers touch random keys Do the same for your city. Your State and Your Zip code should be correct. Put in your credit card info in and process the payment. Hope this helps.
