I called and have no offsets so why is my deposit over $1,000 less then the accepted amount

The fee for filing was only around $30 so who can I call to find out  why such a difference when there are no offsets according to the IRS

Is the difference the state refund ?   If so they don't come together.

I would go online and check your IRS tax transcripts. It can give your more detail and break down your return. It was indeed either and offset or the IRS made a correction to your return based on info they had vs what you submitted. Hope this helps.

Did you have the TT fees withheld from the refund ... that cost was $39.99 this year. If the IRS sent the full refund to the processing bank then they may have been instructed to withhold some for another bank in the system.

Either way the processing bank or the IRS (who ever is responsible) will send a letter of explanation in the next 2 weeks.

I'm not getting the answer I need so I will try to call the 800 number I have. 1200.00 is along way from  .39.99.. I have used turbo tax for four years and have never had a processing fee of $1200.00  or any problems till now

Ok ... don't bother getting in the TT tech support help line since they cannot help you.

You need to track down the refund first at the IRS  & then at the processing bank if the IRS didn't grab some.

Start with IRS ....  <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/refunds">https://www.irs.gov/refunds</a>
If they kept some ...   <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc203">https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc203</a>

If the processing bank is to blame ...  check your status at <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.sbtpg.com">www.sbtpg.com</a>

Just curious ... did you ever do one of those tax refund anticipation loans ?  And did you not pay back the entire amount ?    If so that is what the processing bank took the money for.... call them to confirm if this is your situation.
