I am trying to file by mail but it keeping sending me through efile instead. How do I file by mail at the end?

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.

 

Important! Mail Federal and State in separate envelopes and mail each year in separate envelopes.

First, sign into your TurboTax account.  Select File.  You will follow the steps until you get to Step 3.  On this screen, be sure to select you want to File by Mail.

 

This will allow you to print out your returns with filing instructions so you can sign and mail in your returns.  The following link has additional information to assist you with printing your returns.
