When you're trying to take off car insurance, that means you've chosen the Actual Expense method for your vehicle on Schedule C.

To enter the Schedule C interview:

1.  Click Federal Taxes across the top.

2.  Click Wages & Income.

3.  Scroll down to Business Items.

4.  Click Start or Update by Business Income and Expenses (Sch C).

5.  Click Edit by your business.

6.  Click through the questions and income section, till you get to the screen shown below.  There you can enter your car insurance, along with your other expenses.
