I am ready to e-file, However, I have the option to fix California return or file by mail. When I click fixed by California return it gives me the box that asks if the principal residence above is the

When I click e file it says there’s an error and I need to fix it and the error is my principle residence and it won’t let me edit it so it says I can’t efile

Thank you for clarifying. Are you using TurboTax for Windows?

If so, this is a known issue for some users and we are working to resolve it sometime today March 5. You may need to update your software for the error to resolve.

If you are using TurboTax Online, please try to clear your browser's cache and delete cookies and then log back in and resubmit. 

If that doesn't work, try a different browser such as Firefox if you're currently using Chrome and vice versa.
