Please see the information below from jkl20Level 1 that fixed this issue:

"It appears I was able to fix the issue, but it requires manually editing your stock sales entries.

Where ever your 1099 stock sale says "Various" for the 'date acquired', then you have to go and manually set it to that in TurboTax. For some reason the auto-import function doesn't recognize it as "Various" so it will ask for an actual date until you check the circle that says "something other than a date" and select "Various" from the dropdown box."

You can also view the full discussion here.

Your 1099-B has the info you need. Your purchase date will be listed in box 1b, Date acquired, and Date sold listed in box 1c. Please see the link below for more information:

I tried to change the transaction date to various manually that comes up on the review page, but it still didn’t work. I have more than 300 transaction that has “various” date... Does anyone has another tip?

Same issue.  I enter a date and it just asks for a date again.  I'm importing from Webull.

Will TurboTax fix this problem?  I have many entries that have various and it would take very long time to fix this myself.

Were you able to solve this? This is annoying. I might try a different tax platform.

@seojeong, This issue is currently under investigation, and we are working to resolve it, but we don't have any additional information at this point.

I'm having the same hang up as all these other people too, delaying me from filing my Taxes.  I tried inputting various with no luck as well.  The experience is maddening.  What would have otherwise been a delightful experience with TurboTax has now turned into a nightmare time suck.

Changing to various did not work for me.

Why is my 1099-B missing its acquired date?

Please note that "manually enter your Date acquired info" does not work. Entering an appropriate date throws me into an infinite loop asking for the date again.

Reviewing the Document and trying to add the "Date acquired" info there shows that they are already populated.

The same problem is happening to me with "Holding Period."

This makes the entire TurboTax product useless.

Please keep us posted on the fix. Who can I invoice for the hours of my time I lost here?

Issue still appears to be around. Now I have to go through 150 entries and manually set them to "Various" thanks to the wonders of modern trading.

Here is a possible solution.  If your entries reflect whether the trade was a short-term gain/loss or long-term gain/loss, then for now disregard the error messages and finish preparing your return.  When your return has been completed, continue through the application by selecting Wrap up income, and Wrap up tax breaks and see if you can sign and e-file your return despite the error messages.

I AM STILL GETTING THIS ISSUE. On my 1099-B the date required is "N/A". I am importing from TD Ameritrade. Please help. This is maddening. It's holding up submitting my taxes

Are you filing your return using the online or desktop version? @jakep13
