I am a member of a federally recognized Tribe and have IHS as a service provider. How do I enter my exemption type and code?

Click Federal
Click Health Insurance
Select I'll pick and choose which months or we all had insurance or no one had it
Click Continue
Select the Months you had insurance and leave the months blank she did not and click continue
Continue through until you get to "Was anyone covered by any of these plans in 2018?"
Answer No and click Continue (unless someone was)
You will come to a screen asking if any of these situations apply that may waive the penalty. Select, Indian Tribe Member or eligible for Indian Health Care
you will get a screen that says, the penalty has been waived.
