Hi. Massachusetts rejected my return and the rejection code is MA_PersonalPropRentalIncome_R17_All. When I clicked on fix it now it said that an update will be available on February 8th and I need to review my state return that's it and now it's saying the issue is fixed even when nothing has been fixed/updated at all! And it's asking me to re-file again. My Federal return is accepted but the state is rejected. How can I make sure the issue is fixed before re-filing again?
Thank you.
I don't see that reject code for Massachusetts. There is an update going out overnight tonight. I would update the software in the morning and re-file.
I got the same message and updated the software today (2/8/24) and it still rejects it. So frustrating, especially because I have no rental property or income
Hi
My MA tax return is getting rejected with below error. pls let me know how to fix this .
MA_PersonalPropRentalIncome_R17_All
Can you try and rerun the Federal and State Reviews and then try and file again. Please let me know if this works.
it doesn't work. Did it twice now. Went through my whole mass one and re did it. Still being rejected. I get the same rejection code while owning no property in mass
Unfortunately it didn't work. I did both reviews federal and state returns but the state return still being rejected every time I submit it.
If you are still getting an error, it would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2023" file that is experiencing this issue. You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: Go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.
Here are the instructions if you are using TurboTax CD/Download:
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
I got the same error and waited, refiled today and got rejected again.
I also had this and did update feb 8 in am. no success. TTAX needs to dig deeper
HI...I have not answer for you...But I am getting the same message....I am trying to file a non-resident MA state tax return...I just tried it again today...Maybe I will trying it again on Feb 9th.
I read someplace that we may have to paper file the return.
I hope not
I am looking at your token (1176634), and I have two comments/questions.
1. Which TurboTax product are you using, the Online product or the desktop?
2. While looking at the return, I downloaded a Massachusetts update, and the result was a $25 increase in your refund(!).
The Online product is updated automatically, of course, so if you are using the Online product, could you try it again?
If you are using the desktop product, please update the software (look at the top left for "Online" - yeah, I know, weird - click on it and then click on "Check for Updates"). Or, of course, you could just close and reopen the product. Then try to e-file again.
3. In either case, please let me know what happens. Same for the other users here, please me know what happens...thanks!

I am using the online version of TurboTax premium
Thanks, shamim73, still won't e-file?
@soneill129 Are you a desktop user? If so, when was the last time you tried to e-file? Thanks.
Using online product.
Yes, on 2/2 when I first filed, it was $25 higher than today. I made a minor change in charitable deductions. I have efiled 4 times. As far as I can tell, I have one chance left before I have to manually file. I tried twice last week and twice today.
I loaded all my figures in Mass Tax Connect- did not file yet and they come out to be the higher number...
Why am I getting this weird error? I don't want to lose my last chance to efile.
I am also getting this error, filing online. Awaiting solution.
I am also having this issue. Out of state partial resident in MA. I have re-submit every day since the original submission and still receive the same rejection error.
