Make sure you're using the same account you used in 2016. Sign in and scroll down to Your tax returns & documents (you may need to select Show next to it to expand). Select 2016 and then select Download .tax file.
Can not save the 2019 tax file, only can save PDF files
You can download and save the .tax2019 file to your computer, the file will not open unless you have the TurboTax program.
To have a copy of your tax return on your computer, that you can open and look at, you will want to save the PDF file.

Im using a chromebook and cant download it . Any simple reason for that ?
@tal5 Are you trying to download your tax return or the program? The 2020 tax returns might be temporarily unavailable as they switch over to 2021.
