How to delete 'Canadian Retirement Plans' from TT2018 ?

'Canadian Retirement Plans' is listed under 'Personal Income' and the 'Retirement Plans and  Social Security' list, and cant delete it. Dont remember ever adding it. Is it a hack ?

If you enter a section of the interview you will leave a footprint on the list ... as long as you made no income entries in those sections then just ignore them.

Thank you for the followup.

Not sure what 'a section of the interview' means.

We do no TT work online, its all hard-copy.

The only connection with the internet is for 'updates' when the program is started, thus the 'hack' part of the question.

And we do not remember (or have any reason for) ever adding 'Canadian Registered Pension Income' (what it shows now) to the list.

No obvious Hack...but we can't knwo what you did to get that in there.

1)Start up your desktop software again and open that tax file.

2) Go to the "Federal Taxes" Tab   ("Personal" tab if you are using Home&Business software);

3)Then select the "Wages&Income" section.

4) Scroll down to the Retirement income section where you will find the "Canadian Registered Pension Income" section and then go in there and delete any Canadian pension  entries you see.

Picture about what I'm referring to:

Thank you for the info.

Went to the 'Home & Business' section shown in your image and checked 'No' for did not 'receive a distribution as an annuitant of an RRSP or RRIF'.

After then click 'Done' (no other option), the 'Canadian Registered Pension Income' is still showing on the 'Retirement Plans and Social Security' list.

At least is shows as '$0'.

Thanks again.
