Turbotax specifically states that they can't fix this problem.
I have been working on this problem for since November.
Turbotax tells you to call idnotify. Idnotify tells you to call Turbtax. I have been dealing with this endless finger pointing for weeks.
To be clear I have spoken with more than 1 dozen Turbotax specialists and 2 Turbotax supervisors, Michael L. and Scott. It has taken numerous phone calls to get Turbotax to understand the problem.
Alerts from IDnotify/Turbotax instruct one to login to Turbotax to see details about the alert. This method of accessing IDnotify alerts worked in the past, but it no longer works as one can no longer access MAX benefits via Turbotax login. Links and posts telling users that IDnotify sent an email to create an IDnotify account after one signed up for MAX benefits are incorrect. If one calls IDnotify, IDnotify sends one to login support which turns out to be a Turbtax specialist.
Turbotax sold users on MAX benefits, but offers no help in resolving login problems with their "partner", IDnotify.
I have now spent a total of 9 hours and 35 minutes in numerous phone calls with TurboTax and IDnotify. These calls took place between November 29, 2023 and January 10, 2024. The situation is as follows. A TurboTax representative confirmed with me that representatives of TurboTax are instructed to tell customers that they should call IDnotify to resolve online access to alerts. An IDnotify representative confirmed with me that representatives of IDnotify are instructed to tell customers that they should call TurboTax to resolve access to online alerts. This explains the endless, unproductive loop in customer's inquiries with online alerts. Customers paid for a service via MAX benefits that is no longer being provided. One supervisor at TurboTax told me "off the record" that TurboTax and IDnotify have had a falling out. A supervisor at IDnotify told me that he has handled "thousands" of calls from customers seeking access to alerts. I could tell you more, but it only leads to the same outcome. Shame on TurboTax and IDnotify.
If you have had the same experience with not being able to access details of alerts from IDnotify and if you have received the same run around from TurboTax, and IDnotify then write to [email address removed] and tell them about your experience. Go to classaction.org to learn about their work.
On January 10, 2024 I spent two hours on the phone with TurboTax. During that call I shared my computer screen with Jordan S. of TurboTax, so she could see things for herself in my email alerts from IDnotify and attempts to logon directly to a portal at IDnotify. Jordan looked at this situation from every possible angle including an exploration of my TurboTax account. She conceded that the problem with accessing details of alert notifications from IDnotify is real. She got to see the problem for herself. At the end of the call she told me that the only thing she could do was to instruct me to call IDnotify per her training. She admitted that this advice was useless, but she had no other options available as TurboTax management has not provided TurboTax representatives with any guidance or training other than to instruct customers to call IDnotify.
This is total fu¢k€r¥!
So end result is that we paid for nothing correct?
Yes, we paid and got nothing. I just requested a refund from TurboTax. The refund system assumes I am asking for a refund related to my tax filing. TurboTax can't distinguid between filings and IDNotify services. My advice: Don't buy MAX Benefits as it is a waste of money.

I am having this same exact issue and multiple attempts to reach out to TurboTax and IDNotify have not resolved. I have received security alert messages, with a link to TurboTax to check details - but following the link only takes me to my personal taxes. I am very frustrated to be paying for premium benefits with no ability to review these alerts. Password recovery trying to login directly with IDNotify does not work, neither does my intuit password. IDNotify is not listed as a Turbo Tax product like Credit Karma or Link so I cannot access through Turbo Tax's site. What is the resolution?
I was finally able to get to my alerts by logging into turbotax - which takes me to my tax home screen. At the top of the screen I see my take return information, but if you scroll down you see a grey box labeled "see your max benefits" - expand that and you see a blurb stating:
"Need help restoring your identity?
Well I do not see the gray box for "see your max benefits". I tried to get a refund, but my request was denied. I did not sign up for max benefits for 2024. I read reviews about max benefits and concluded that one is better off subscribing directly with IDnotify (Experian) or one of their competitors. For now I am using a competitor to iDnotify.
Yup, having the same issue. ID Notify sends me an email saying I have 2 alerts and to follow the link to my account, but it never takes me there. It just takes me to my taxes. Very frustrating. The whole reason I got MAX was for this benefit- feeling duped. Apparently there are a whole slew of people out there with the same issue. Go Intuit!
How many hours would you like to spend on the phone to find out you know more about the system, and there is nothing that can be fixed. I have so much free time on my hands to chat it up with Intuit to fix a problem they have no idea how to fix. No thanks, I think I will spend time on finding a new tax services provider.
I decided to stay with Turbotax for 2023, but declined to purchase MAX benefits. Like you I am searching for an alternative company that is managed for customer satisfaction and deals honestly with customers. The search is on..
I also contacted classaction.org to see if they had any interest in starting a class action lawsuit. They declined for the time being. If more users contact classaction.org, this might lead to a class action case.

You completely missed the pointy about IDnotify and Turbotax. Let me restate what resulted from numerous hours of "reaching out". IDnotify will connect users with a "technical specialist". When the connection is made, the user gets connected to a Turbotax representative who eventually tells you to call IDnotify. It is called an endless do-loop. I tried to break this do-loop for months. Both IDnotify and Turbotax haver failed to meet the commitment made to users regarding MAX Benefits. .
More information: Since November of 2023 I have tried all of the suggestions that you made. I tried them multiple times. Every attempt resulted in the same endless loop. One of my most productive calls was with a Turbotax representative. I recall her name as Jordan S. Jordan was very patient and listened carefully. I shared my screen with Jordan and followed every suggestion she made. Eventually she conceded that neither Turbotax or IDnotify was able to resolve the problem. She also recognized that Turbotax and IDnotify had created an endless loop in which Turbotax referred users to IDnotify and IDnotify referred users to Turbotax. On another call staring with Turbotax, Michael L. (Turbotax representative) said (off the record) that there was a falling out between Turbotax and IDnotify. The end result is the same as both Turbotax and IDnotify have abandoned their MAX benefit customers. I attempted to get a refund from Turbotax. The refund was denied, as Turbotax stated that my original payment for MAX benefits was an acknowledgment of 100% product satisfaction. Turbotax is clearly not focused on customer satisfaction.
I have exactly the same problem. I can't login my IDNotify account through TurboTax anymore, it says "We could not log you in with single-sign on. Enter your username and password". My TurboTax login and password don't work for IDNotify. I tried to reset my password on https://portal.idnotify.com/forgot-password multiple times, but I never received an email from IDNotify with a link to reset the password. Yesterday I called IDNotify five times and each time they redirected my call to TurboTax. And each time, TurboTax representatives said that I have to contact IDNotify. This is an endless loop.
